Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search box is handled by the third-party provider that supplies those results. Garfield Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those searches. A message sent to us contains the information included in that message and is used to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Like most hosted services, the site may receive routine log data such as an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. Aggregate review helps maintain performance and understand general page use. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics or advertising measurement.
How Information Is Used
We use limited technical data to operate, secure, repair, and improve the service. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
External Services and Links
Official Garfield, Bergen County, New Jersey, library, archive, and search-provider links have their own privacy terms. Those terms govern information submitted after leaving this site, including information sent through a sponsored result.
Service Providers and Disclosures
Hosting and support providers may process the routine technical information needed to run the service. Analytics or advertising providers may receive the automatic information described above. Information is disclosed when valid legal process requires it.
Data Safeguards
The service uses an encrypted connection and keeps routine logs only for the operational purposes stated here. There are no user accounts, passwords, or stored personal profiles on Garfield Residents Directory.
Visitors Under 18
This reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect a minor's personal information. Contact us if you believe a minor sent information so the matter can be addressed.
Your Privacy Requests
You may ask about personal information held in a contact message or routine log, and we will review the request. Public records held by Garfield, Bergen County, New Jersey, courts, libraries, or archives are not controlled here. Requests about those records go to their custodian. New Jersey's OPRA, N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq., governs access to qualifying government records; Daniel's Law and the Address Confidentiality Program can restrict certain address information.
Policy Changes
Any revision to this policy will appear here. Continued use after publication of a revised policy indicates acceptance of that revision.
