1. Nature of the Service
Garfield Residents Directory is a private reference that describes and links to public record routes and historical directory collections associated with Garfield, New Jersey. It does not host government records and is not affiliated with any public office, court, library, or custodian.
2. Permitted Use
Use this service only for a lawful purpose. You may not use it or information reached through it to:
- Stalk, threaten, harass, intimidate, or harm another person
- Find a person protected by a restraining or protective order
- Commit fraud, identity theft, or another unlawful act
- Make an FCRA-regulated decision about credit, employment, housing, insurance, or a similar regulated purpose
- Copy, scrape, or republish content at scale
- Disrupt the service, its security, or its availability
3. No Consumer Reporting Role
Garfield Residents Directory is not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. ยง 1681 et seq. Nothing here or in a linked tool is a consumer report, and it may not be used in a decision the FCRA regulates.
4. Outside Websites
Government portals, archives, libraries, and sponsored providers operate under their own policies. We do not control their content, availability, charges, results, or privacy practices.
5. No Warranties
The service is offered as available and without warranties. We do not promise that a description, link, office detail, coverage period, or external result is complete, current, accurate, or continuously available.
6. Liability Limits
To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from use of this service or a linked resource.
7. Indemnity
You agree to defend and hold the service operators harmless from claims, losses, demands, and reasonable legal fees arising from your misuse or violation of these terms.
8. Intellectual Property
The original text, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. Brief quotations with attribution and ordinary links are permitted. Republishing full pages or systematically copying them is not.
9. Changes to Terms
These terms may be revised by posting an updated version here. Continued use after publication signifies acceptance of the revised terms.

11. New Jersey Law
New Jersey law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The New Jersey Open Public Records Act, N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq., governs qualifying government-record access, but it does not make this private reference a custodian or an official request channel.
12. Severability
If a provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
